Monique Leane

• Chair all Panel meetings, and
• Report to the Victorian Fisheries Authority on the operation and results of deliberations of the Panel.

• Leading and supporting the VFA's Fisheries Management Division including policy, fisheries management, science, licensing, events, fish productions and grants, with budget responsibility of $8 million and over 80 team members
• Provision of high-level advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Minister for Fishing and Boating and Board of Directors to support effective decision making
• Leading policy and strategy development to ensure effective decision-making and support the delivery of sustainable, economic and social fishing outcomes
• Leading strong engagement with key stakeholder groups including the recreational and commercial fishing industries, conservation groups and other regulatory services.

• Provision of advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Minister for Fishing and Boating and Board of Directors regarding strategy and stakeholder engagement
• Leading development and implementation of, and reporting against, the VFA Strategic Plan 2019 – 2024
• Leading development and implementation of the organisation's;

• Supporting the Chief Executive Officer in reporting current activities to the Board of Directors and Minister for Fishing and Boating.

• Provision of leadership to, and supervision of, the Communications Team
• Leading the VFA's communications and media activity including; traditional media, social media, website content, advertisements and podcast, and
• Provision of fishing related event opportunities and speaking notes to the Minister for Fishing and Boating.

• Make informed recommendations and decisions to influence the sustainable growth of Victoria's fishing sectors
• Regular engagement and negotiations with key stakeholders forming engaged and meaningful relationships
• Management of major projects from planning to implementation and evaluation, including regulation amendments and management plans, and
• Provision of advice on legislative and regulatory amendments.,
