Duties included: Assisting with exercising and providing enrichment for residents such as dogs, cats, birds, rodents and farm animals., Maintained an excellent level of cleanliness of the kennels and cattery., Aided with daily feeding and administering medication when instructed., Helped with canine training and behavioural assessments.
  • South Africa Veterinary Experience Volunteer - 2023: A voluntary hands-on experience and exposure to veterinary care of South African wildlife. Duties included: Conducting health checks on a range on native species including lion, zebra, wildebeest and springbok., Blood/faecal collections., Performing subcutaneous and intra-muscular injections., Microchipping/ear tagging., Game drives/anatomy lectures.
  • Riding for the disabled Volunteer - 2014-2016: A voluntary position working with a nonprofit organisation which provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy, therapeutic, horse-related activities.
