My job responsibilities were,

1. Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures, including preparing the surgical suite, sterilizing instruments, and monitoring anesthesia.
2. Preparing animals for surgery, including shaving and disinfecting surgical sites, placing catheters, and administering pre-operative medications.
3. Monitoring vital signs of animals under anesthesia and during recovery, and reporting any abnormalities to the veterinarian.
4. Providing post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and monitoring for complications.
5. Triaging emergency cases and assisting with immediate treatment.
6. Monitoring vital signs and providing supportive care for critically ill or injured animals.
7. Administering emergency medications and performing CPR as needed.
8. Assisting with wound management, including cleaning, debridement, and bandaging.
9. Applying and changing wound dressings and bandages, and monitoring wound healing progress.
10. Educating pet owners on proper wound care and home management.
11. Assisting veterinarians during examinations and treatments.
12. Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
13. Performing diagnostic tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and x-rays.
14. Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
15. Providing nursing care to hospitalized animals, including feeding, bathing, and administering treatments.
16. Educating pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care.
17. Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient files.
18. Restraining animals during examinations and procedures to ensure the safety of both the animal and the staff.
19. Assisting with dental procedures, such as cleaning teeth and performing dental x-rays.
20. Preparing and administering fluid therapy, including intravenous and subcutaneous fluids.
21. Collecting and preparing laboratory samples, such as blood, urine, and fecal samples.
22. Monitoring inventory of medical supplies and medications, and ordering as needed.
23. Providing compassionate care and support to animals and their owners, particularly during difficult or emotional situations.
