Muhammad Qasim Sheikh

Graduate student in Master of Social Work and a degree in a Graduate Certificate in Social Science and experience in a healthcare setting as a Clinical Laboratory Manager and Assistant. This experience has taught me that I am capable of working effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams, as I learnt the principles of effective communication, teamwork, and organisation. I feel comfortable working with sensitive information, keeping it confidential, and assisting people in crowded and even tense cases. My leadership, problem-solving, and time-management skills as well as a sensitive and culturally respectful attitude were reinforced too. I am also keen to apply my educational knowledge and practice in healthcare to assist people, their families, and communities throughout my social work placement.
