I have lived and grown up in rural Victoria all my life and have gotten to know and love the community that small towns have to offer. I completed VCE at Charlton College which I found to be a great school and developed friendships and connections with my teachers and my classmates. I was involved in the local football/netball/hockey club where I played football for many years and was given the opportunity to captain the under 17s side in my last year of juniors. The Charlton FNHC is a great club where the townspeople and myself volunteered together to ensures it’s smooth running and overall enjoyment. I worked in the town of Charlton at the local service station and then at GrainCorp during the busy harvest season which involved taking farmers grain for storage before eventually outloading elsewhere. These jobs helped me feel more connected to the community I had grown up in and taught me values of hard work and what it means to work efficiently with others. I have enjoyed living in the country and am now ready to move on the the city after many years spent here and feeling like a change is needed.
