I am semi-retired, currently splitting my time between Melbourne (20%) and Mansfield (80%).
I am not looking for full time work but am keen to explore opportunities which allow me to become more integrated into the local community and culture. To that end I am currently involved in a volunteer sponsorship role within the local radio station which offers me access to a wide range of business people and perspectives.
I have no particular role in mind but hoping my skill set and experience may suit an available opportunity.
• New Home Shop was a start-up residential construction
business. When I left the day to day business it was
annualising over 300 builds per annum.
• As a start up business, I was involved in every element of
the organisation including branding and sales
representation.
• As the business grew my responsibilities involved
marketing, creation and implementation of policies and
systems to ensure smooth end-to-end process for both the
business and its clients, management of the administration
department and also staff induction/training.
Cognito Marketing was a brand activation company. Specifically it created campaigns such as sales and trade promotions and incentives to achieve brand goals.
My day to day role included client aquisition and representation, concept creation and development, copywriting, briefing in-house studio creatives and fulfillment/execution of each campaign.
This in addition to running the organisation in terms of accounts, goal setting, staff relations, etc.
CAW Marketing was a start-up business in the area of brand activation (see Cognito Marketing for a description of the company and my role within it).
Serving a range of blue chip clients it was consistently considered one of Victoria's top three organisations in this space.
In 2005 it was purchased by Young and Rubicam (a global advertising agency) to become it's specialist brand activation arm. In 2006 it was awarded top prize in a worldwide judgement of sales promotion activity for a campaign it ran for Carlton and United Breweries.
I fulfilled many roles throughout Australia and overseas in my time at Mobil. Retail Territory Manager, State Retail Manager (Tasmania), Merger Coordinator (NSW and Qld), Convention Coordinator (Hawaii, Bali, LA and Bangkok) and Sponsorship Manager amongst others.
My final role involved conceiving, writing, launching and managing program activities to promote lubricant sales through Mobil's national distributor network. This entailed significant interplay/liaison with state field managers to ensure buy-in in the development of all initiatives.
