Skilled in parent-teacher communication, I effectively supported diverse learners, enhancing academic performance through targeted interventions and collaborative lesson planning. Committed to student growth and development.
Year 1/2 Primary School teacher (Permission to Teach, PTT). Worked in a collaborative team-teaching environment alongside multiple colleagues throughout the year. The shared classroom catered for over 40 students, with my specific responsibility focused on the assessment and reporting of 20+ students. My role encompassed lesson planning, explicit teaching, and monitoring student progress. I taught across core curriculum areas, including Mathematics, Literacy, and Inquiry.
Worked in a Foundation classroom with over 40 students, primarily supporting classroom management. Student behaviours ranged from minor challenges (such as distraction and difficulty maintaining focus) to more complex needs (including physical outbursts). I supported children with ASD, ADHD, ODD, and multiple students with Type 1 Diabetes, assisting with monitoring and daily management. In addition to behaviour support, I contributed to classroom learning by working with small groups and providing targeted assistance. I also gained experience working in a Year 5/6 classroom on occasion.
Worked primarily in a Before and After School Care setting, as well as during school holidays in holiday care. Depending on the number of children enrolled, I worked independently or alongside a partner, caring for groups of up to 20 students. My responsibilities included organising resources, planning activities, and leading sessions for student participation. I was also responsible for preparing and providing food, as well as opening and closing the care centre based in local schools. This role was carried out across multiple towns, including Henty, Holbrook, and Culcairn.
