In charge of ANL Global Cargo Flow processes and KPIs plus leading directly and implementing the ANL Cargo Flow Department in Melbourne consisting of 4 new staff. I was a driver of change at ANL with new system development as we move to new tools and processes, this includes discussion with CMA Head Office, transformation and senior business leaders to ensure ANL is a leader. I mentored and lead a new team in the liner division, setup new reporting and ways of working in line with ANL strategy. In this role I reported to General Manager/Executive level.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Progressing the rollout of LISA/SAP as a leader and a Super Key User for ANL.
  • Ensuring no business impact while forging ahead with service deployments including Asia and Intra Oceania.

Regional Manager - North East Asia

Responsible for all ANLs activities in North East Asia as an extension of the principal. This includes all commercial, sales and marketing actioned in line with Head Office objectives. This role involved directing agencies in China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan for import and export business. Using various reporting tools, I was able to lead the ANL Hong Kong team of 9 staff to exploit opportunities in the market and leverage of our existing customer base to achieve substantial lifting and revenue results. As the key leader in ANL for North East Asia I was the focal point for all stakeholder contact including terminals, visiting customers, Asian based customers, as such I was required to work across a variety of different cultural backgrounds to communicate and deliver results. While it existed, I also represented ANL at the AADA discussion agreement/conference.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Enhanced team performance by providing regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to staff members.
  • Collaborated with executive leadership to establish long-term objectives, drive growth initiatives, and align regional efforts with corporate goals.

Through various roles during this period I was responsible for the Operations and Assistant Management of the South East Asian and Papua New Guinea trade lanes. As the Deputy I was responsible in all strategy, profit and loss for trades and also the overall operations and consortia management.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Redeveloped all the slot cost files with partners ensuring clarity and ease of use to ensure excellent P&L Management.
  • Able to generate thousands in additional revenue through cycle settlements.
  • Keeping operations accountable through monitoring of bunker consumptions for force generation of additional savings.
  • Created the Singapore Business support desk to ensure proper monitoring of our transhipment connections.
