Nadia Garrity

I'm Nadia, 28 years old & from the Wairarapa, New Zealand. A little bit about me, I have lived in Carterton majority of my life, with my partner and 2-year-old daughter who we absolutely adore. We've recently moved over to Australia after falling in love with the Gold Coast whilst on holiday a year prior.

In my spare time I enjoy getting out of the house to places in nature such as the beach or reserve walks, I enjoy reading and quiet time to myself. I’m an honest, reliable and trustworthy person. I work well both on my own and with others, a quick learner who uses her initiative and a relaxed person with a positive & happy personality. I can communicate with others in a professional manner.

I have been a kaiako with nine years of experience in teaching. I have the belief that children learn through play and their environment acts as their third teacher.

I feel very strongly about respect towards children, and that building reciprocal relationships so children can learn and grow in positive sorroundings.

• Bachelor Degree in ECE through Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.

• Ongoing development of learning Te Reo Māori.
