Project 1: Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring and Alerting Implementation (Dec 2021 – May 2022)

Project Overview:
Contributed to AWS monitoring setup using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for metrics and alerting.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintained Prometheus and Grafana to collect and visualize key performance metrics from AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Worked closely with senior engineers to implement AWS CloudWatch for log aggregation, alerting, and resource optimization.
• Managed AWS IAM roles and policies, ensuring secure access to monitoring tools and cloud resources.
• Contributed to the configuration of ELK Stack for centralized log collection and monitoring.
• Developed basic Bash scripts to automate log rotation, backups, and integration between monitoring tools.
• Developed alerting systems to detect downtime and performance degradation.
• Gained hands-on experience with Terraform by assisting senior engineers in automating and provisioning cloud infrastructure.
