I graduated as a medical doctor in 2008 after participating in the internship program for the last 18 months, which was part of my medical curriculum. After completing my initial training, I worked as a Medical Officer at Mehrgan Surgery Centre for four months before relocating to Australia. Four months after arriving in Australia, I commenced a part-time observership (three days per week) at Curtin University Medical Centre under the supervision of Dr Alison Hogg. During this period, I was also preparing for the Australian Medical Council (AMC) MCQ exam, which I successfully passed in 2011. In April 2012, I undertook a full-time observership at the Inner City Community Mental Health Service in Perth, driven by my growing interest in psychiatry. Due to family commitments, I was unable to begin formal medical practice at that time and subsequently worked part-time at Hall & Prior Aged Care for seven months. Following a move from Perth to Sale (Victoria) in July 2013, I participated in weekly educational sessions at Central Gippsland Health Service. In February 2014, I commenced a five-month full-time medical observership at the inpatient psychiatric unit of Maroondah Hospital under the supervision of Dr Jennifer Babb. I successfully completed the AMC Clinical Exam in October 2015. Since 2014, I have been employed at Eastern Health, initially as a Hospital Medical Officer, and from February 2019 onwards, as a Psychiatry Registrar. I am currently in Stage 3 of RANZCP training and have gained extensive experience across multiple domains of mental health, including acute, subacute, and rehabilitation settings. At present, I am working at Cabrini Women's Mental Health Centre.
