I worked as a Public Health officer for the Department of Health during the COVID pandemic. My main role was to contact trace for the department. I started out in the New Cases Team and moved into the education system, mass gatherings and justice systems. Roles and responsibilities included conducting interviews in a high stress environment, many administrative tasks such as data entry, receiving inbound and outbound calls, ensuring all emails sent to our team were responded too and dealt with promptly. I was also required to use Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, Teams and many other public health record and software systems such as CRM, PHESS and the Case and Contact.
