I worked as a Public Health officer for the Department of Health during the COVID pandemic. My main role was to contact trace for the department. I started out in the New Cases Team and moved into the education system, mass gatherings and justice systems. Roles and responsibilities included conducting interviews in a high stress environment, many administrative tasks such as data entry, receiving inbound and outbound calls, ensuring all emails sent to our team were responded too and dealt with promptly. I was also required to use Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, Teams and many other public health record and software systems such as CRM, PHESS and the Case and Contact.

I worked in the hospitals overnight ward and day surgical unit. The hospital specialises in orthopaedic surgery including shoulder, hip, knee, foot and ankle, sports medicine and sports injuries, hand and wrist surgery, plastic and hand surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and pain diagnosis and treatment. I was required to admit patients and prepare them for theatre and care for them postoperatively. I also used to regularly act as ANUM in charge of the day surgical unit. As an employee I improved patient outcomes by implementing evidence-based nursing interventions and individualized care plans. Enhanced patient satisfaction by providing compassionate, holistic nursing care that addressed physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Streamlined medication administration processes for increased safety and accuracy during busy shifts.

At Bupa Health Dialogue I used to provide telephonic based health coaching services focusing on wellness and chronic disease management. I offered evidence-based information to educate and empower customers to make informed healthcare decisions. I was able to work effectively as part of a team but also work autonomously, I also provided feedback and strategies in order to improve productivity and business outcomes. I utilised advanced computer skills in MS office and other applications/systems and was proficient in core administration functions, including document preparation and internal/external communications.

After I graduated from University I completed my graduate year at the Austin Hospital working on the medical ward (MAPU), in orthopaedic rehabilitation and on the cardiothoracic ward. I also worked as an agency nurse at various different hospitals and on different wards, this taught me how to adapt to different working environments promptly and with ease, I made sure to familiarise myself with each wards health and safety policies and procedures and ask appropriate questions when necessary. I also familiarised myself with the environment and whereabouts of the emergency crash carts and nurse assist alerts. Competencies to support continuing professional education and development were completed on a regular basis include manual handling, basic life support, drug calculations, advanced life support, challenging behaviours, fire and emergency procedures & occupational health and safety.

I was employed as the Retail Store Manager at Johnston Canyon Resort when I was travelling in Canada. The Resort was only open during the warmer months. I helped to set up and manage the gift shop. I was responsible for improving store sales by implementing effective marketing strategies and attractive visual merchandising. I enhanced customer satisfaction through training staff on exceptional customer service practices and conflict resolution techniques. I optimized inventory management with regular audits, forecasting demands, and adjusting orders accordingly and reduced shrinkage levels by closely monitoring security measures, conducting staff training, and implementing loss prevention initiatives.

As a retail sales associate at Winners I was able to boost customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing concerns promptly. Increase sales revenue through effective product recommendations tailored to individual customers. Maintained a clean and organized store environment, enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers. Enhanced visual merchandising displays by arranging products strategically, attracting more customers to the store. Processed transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems, minimizing wait times for customers at checkout.

I went on a working holiday through CCUSA and worked as a gift shop store manager at one of the camps in Oregon for 4 months. I managed the daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the store, maintaining a clean, safe environment for customers and managed inventory control, cash control, and store opening and closing procedures.
