I am currently a second-year Psychology and Sports and Exercise science student looking for some real-world experience. Through working in a fast food setting, i trained and worked closely with adolescents supporting them through their day to day tasks. I worked in both cooking and customer service, where I handled problems and dealt with complaints. I currently work in childcare, through which I have gained my working with childrens, first-aid certificate, and completed mandatory reporting units. Through working in this industry, I have learned to work with both coworkers and parents, gained the skills to talk to individuals about sensitive and personal topics, and worked in teams to find solutions and support young children with many different situations and experiences, and practiced inclusion within the centre. Through my psychology degree, I have learned many different practical psychological skills and gained the ability to find and understand research studies. Through my Sports and Exercise Science degree, I have learned sports psychology strategies, including those related to transitional periods experienced by athletes. I would also be willing to complete extra training or any certificates necessary to complete the job.
