• Successful negotiation of vacant possession of land required for various projects following service of Notices of Acquisition and Notices of Temporary Occupation of Land required for major infrastructure projects including:- West Gate Tunnel Project- City-Tulla Widening Project- Western Highway – Burrumbeet to Ararat- Sugarloaf Pipeline on behalf of Melbourne Water
• Establishment of property team to enable delivery of land required for the WGTP from planning stages to delivery of land in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Assembly of a land program for the delivery of land, establishing a Land Access and Acquisition Strategy and Land Acquisition and Compensation Strategy.
• Establishment of a Land Acquisition and Property Management Plan outlining the process of identifying land required for acquisition or temporary occupation of land, ensuring contractual obligations would be met, roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders and process to manage acquired land and identifying land surplus to the project's requirements.
• Being the first land team to deliver required land for construction of a tunnel through the divestment of land under the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act.
• Oversee contract tender evaluation process for the assessment of 3 tenders for construction consortium in relation to land required for the West Gate Tunnel Project.
• Oversee contract tender for legal service providers in conjunction with the Department of Transport.
• Oversee the delivery of land required under a PPP with Transurban for the delivery of land required for the City-Tulla Widening Project with significant temporary occupation of land in South Melbourne, significantly impacting various businesses.
• Development of a completion manual for the West Gate Tunnel Project.
• Undertaking the acquisition of easements for the Sugarloaf Pipeline Project on behalf of Melbourne Water.
