I am a focused and dedicated primary school educator with 10 years experience, in classroom teaching and various leadership positions. I am a passionate teacher devoted to promoting student learning and wellbeing. I am skillful in enhancing student behaviour and engagement through forward-thinking approaches, and helping all students to thrive and meet their potential. I pride myself on my ability to develop caring relationships with students, staff and parents, as well as building a safe and accepting classroom community in which all students feel confident to do their best. I am enthusiastic and flexible, and always eager to try new things and lead other in new approaches.
2023: Acting Learning Specialist (Curriculum)
-Worked with Literacy Leader and Numeracy Leader, implementing changes across the school
-Working closely with the SIT team and PLC Leaders to ensure learning initiatives were being implemented and PLC culture and curriculum documentation was embedded
-Developed whole school curriculum documentation to help teams map and use the curriculum effectively, and ensure compliance, taking on feedback and adapting them to make sure they were usable and sustainable
-Modelled teaching, following whole school approaches, the RMPS Instructional model and HITS
-Ensuring the AIP was being used to inform teams and their teaching across the school and our KIS were being implemented
2021 - 2022: PLC Leader Representative on SIT Team
-Member of the School Improvement Team, with the role of leading the PLC Leaders across the school
-Communicated information and initiatives between the team of PLC Leaders and the SIT Team
-Facilitated meetings with PLC leaders from Prep to Year 6, ensuring successful PLC approach was being implemented across the school
-Implemented initiatives developed by the SIT team across the school and provided feedback
-Participation in unpacking of whole school data and discussions around future direction of school
2018 - 2020: PLC Leader
-Led my 3/4 and 5/6 teams
-Coordinated planning sessions, ensuring whole-school documentation was used, and whole school teaching approaches were followed
-Prepared agendas and facilitated team meetings
-Facilitated team PLC Inquiry cycles, sourcing professional development and relevant data for the team
-Attended parent meetings when required to support team members
