Nathan Edward Okle

With 20 years in industry, I am a Qualified Boilermaker/Welder, I have experience working in high-risk environments and specialist knowledge in MIG and MMAW welding. Having been in the Rolling stock Maintenance Industry since 2005, I have acquired many skills in the Rail Industry. I am a self-motivated person, and I will always approach tasks given in an effective and efficient manner. I work well under pressure, and use my initiative as required to ensure that duties performed are to a high and consistent standard, I am a reliable person, and will always give the full potential. I am excited to find employment where I will be able to utilise my experience and skills that I have in a Manufacturing, Rail or Maintenance environment.

• When GWA took over from Downer Rail, I was required to train new people in Rolling Stock Maintenance, as I was one of three people left with the relevant experience. As the most experienced, I was chosen to train four staff. This meant that these people were fully operational within eight months. The trainees utilized my knowledge base and commended me on my training ability..
• Two Treadwell's carrying molten steel, weighing 400 tonnes, became derailed. The area had to be isolated, and mobile jacks were assembled to bring them back on track before the molten steel solidified. This was achieved within 16 hours, saving the product, which was worth around $2 million.
