Nathaniel Spier

I started Spier Surfboards in 2019 and since have been hand shaping from start to finish various boards from short boards, twin fins, mid-lengths and longboards, completing a total of 100 + surfboards to date.

• Developed expertise in repairing a wide range of surf craft including surfboards, canoes, kayaks, sups, dragons boats and boats.
• Repaired surfboards from start to finish
• Assisted customers in understanding the nature of repairs required for their equipment, ensuring transparency and trust in the process.
• Quoted customers for their repair and handled payment procedures

Completed an internship with Richard Harvey at Harvey Surf One day a week. The internship covered the fundamental skills of shaping, sanding, glassing, building fins and everything in between.

During the 6 years at CYC, I was a group leader and facilitated outdoor education programs for surfing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, tubing and more. From 2020-2022 I had predominantly been driving the boat and organising/leading the tubing lessons.
