- Bath and dress consumers also serve meals and help them eat if necessary.
- Provide pressure area care and mouth care routinely to the consumers who are bedridden/has risk of pressure sore or comfort care and give them emotional support as required.
- Provide and empty bedpans as necessary or take consumers for schedule toileting as per their choice.
- Transfer consumer into beds, tub chair, chair or wheelchairs using correct manual handling techniques or using correct mechanical equipment as per physio recommendations.
- Answer patient's calls/buzzers, take vital signs and chart also inform RN or supervisor if there are any changes in consumer’s conditions i.e., less appetite or swallowing issues, issues with mobility, deteriorating patient etc.
- Changes linen and make beds also make linen trolley ready for next shift with necessary supplies.
