Transitioning from working in an aged care kitchen to becoming a disability support worker is a natural progression driven by a desire to have a more direct and meaningful impact on people's lives. In an aged care kitchen, I've already developed a deep understanding of the importance of nutrition and the role it plays in enhancing the well-being of vulnerable individuals. This experience has likely fostered a strong sense of empathy and a commitment to providing care. This career change allows me to leverage my existing knowledge while embracing new challenges and opportunities to grow professionally and personally. It is a chance to contribute more directly to the well-being of others, aligning our work with our values and passion for helping people.
