Work History

Process Project Engineer

Intel
01.2022 - 01.2024
  • Participated in a process transfer assignment by spending 9 months in Intel Oregon, learning and developing the process with Intel development engineers to then transfer it back to Ireland for new €17 billion factory start-up.
  • Gathered baseline data for parametric, defects and inline product data that would be used to qualify new equipment in Ireland.
  • New equipment was required to be matched to within 0.5 sigma of reference baseline.
  • Completed IQ/OQ/PQ for process equipment in dielectrics department. All stages of installation were tracked to tight deadlines so that equipment was ready for factory.
  • These installs required working knowledge of equipment's engineering design drawings, schematics, and layout.
  • Performed equipment walks/audits to validate that equipment and supporting cleanroom utilities (Vacuum systems, Exhaust, PCW, toxic and non-toxic gases, etc.) matched their design packages and schematics.
  • Prepared and qualified documentation that would qualify/validate that new equipment was performing correctly and ready for production.
  • Ensured all associated automation systems were transfer-ready (MES, PLCs, AMCT, APC, FDC, PCSA).
  • Worked closely with contractors and vendors to commission equipment and supporting cleanroom utilities.
  • Prepared reports/presentations on equipment performance to present to factory management during start-up.

Process/Manufacturing Engineer

Intel
08.2020 - 01.2022
  • Process Engineer within the Dielectrics Department in Europe's largest semiconductor cleanroom facility with over 3000 employees on site.
  • This cleanroom is rated as a "Class 10"/"ISO 4" cleanroom.
  • Responsible for maintaining availability of Dielectrics equipment and planning preventative maintenance work around factory's schedule.
  • Required strong knowledge of equipment's recipes and how it affected product as well as processes downstream.
  • Used MES, SCADA, SPC, FDC and PLC systems daily to monitor equipment performance and availability.
  • Prioritized safety, equipment performance, output, and quality goals to maintain Intel's ISO 9001 certification.
  • Experienced in equipment and process engineering with hands-on exposure to complex vacuum technology which consisted of installation and qualification of high-tech electro-mechanical components.
  • Lead all troubleshooting with support of various technician teams.
  • Performed data analysis/extraction using JMP/Excel to identify trends and correlations between different process variables.
  • Performed root-cause analysis and model-based problem-solving to troubleshoot issues and investigate process deviations.
  • Continuously improving documentation of procedures (SOPs) based on learnings from factory issues to reduce work content.
  • Attended weekly meetings with global team of engineers to share learnings and updates on projects.
  • Responsible for data capturing and statistical analysis to improve machine reliability, cost reduction, and implementing continuous improvement projects as part of Intel's CAPA and FMEA programs.

Mechanical Engineer Intern

Mercury Construction
01.2019 - 09.2019
  • Worked on the construction of a €420,000,000 data centre in The Netherlands.
  • Liaised with consultants to finalize designs of mechanical systems (PCW, AHUs, HVAC, Sprinklers, Potable and non-potable water systems).
  • Met with subcontractors, vendors and construction managers to plan installation of mechanical equipment.
  • Collaborated with electrical and civil teams to resolves any clashes in services.
  • Performed site walks to develop punch lists and track progress of project.
  • Liaised with clients, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to close out RFIs and return technical submittals promptly as to not cause delays to ongoing construction work.
