As Swissport Guest Service's Agent for Virgin Australia, I was responsible for providing exceptional service passengers through out the check-in process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy while adhering to all safety and security protocols. My role involved managing passengers documents, assisting with baggage, and ensuring passengers smooth transitions through the airport.
Check In:
- Greeted passengers warmly and assist with check in process, including verfying flight details and documents,
- Issued boarding passes and baggage tags while ensuring passengers are assigned correct seating.
- Handled special requests such as seat preferences or assistance for passengers with disabilities.
Baggage Handling:
- Weighed and tagged checked baggage wile ensuring compliance with airline regulations regarding weight and size.
- Process excess baggage charges and ensured all luggage is directed to the appropriate locations.
Customer service:
- Provided timely and accurate information regarding flight schedules, delays and procedures.
- Addressed customer injuries and resolved issues related to flight changes, cancellation and reworkings.
- Offer assistance with baggage and flight-related concerns, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Security and safety compliance:
- Enforced airport and airline security procedures by verifying passengers and baggage in line with regulations.
- Conducted routine checks to ensure prohibited items were not included in checked in Baggage.
