I am a QUT Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science graduate looking for precious experience in a medical laboratory. I would like to strengthen what I have learned at university, continue to learn more and challenge myself with new opportunities. I am a dedicated person with a high attention to detail. During my time working in here, I have worked in shifts starting between 6 am to 9 am.


. in the early shift, I was shown how calibration and QC are performed everyday on the biochemical analyser and the importance of regular maintenance. I also have the opportunity to run QC and set up slide stainer in the haematology department.

. I have been trained in sample registration and processing such as using e-collect, the Apollo. I also helped with blood product allocation and transport.

. working with another scientist to gain knowledge and problem solving skills in haematology.

  • Have acquired experience in performing special stains such as Perl's blue stain, Gram stain and Colloidal iron stain with confidence
