Working safely

Responsible for safety in the work environment and ensure safe work practises are followed and a safe work environment maintained.

Team Coordination and Execution of Work

Responsible for ensuring that the teams are meeting the required performance each day, in the completion of work. Maintain open communication with team members and stakeholders.

Work Parcel Management

Receive, evaluate and prepare work parcels for implementation. Schedule internal/external resources, monitor and reconcile bookings and ensure systems and documentation is updated appropriately.

Constructing to standards

Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards. Deal with day to day technical issues that can arise, on site, relating to design and construction issues

• Supervise the construction, installation and maintenance of Distribution lines, substations and equipment up to 33kv.
• Supervise switching operations (up to 132kv) on the network.
• Enforce adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Train subordinates on all aspects of the distribution system.
• Report to the Senior Depot Foreman/ Senior Customer Services Officer

• Connected new electrical services including HV metering equipment.
• Commissioned, pressure tested and phased in electrical installations and equipment.

• Inspection of electrical installations on premises to ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards.
