• I was head of the household section of the business comprising of 245 drivers/operatives and 11 staff in the logistics and operations office.
• Oversaw a fleet of 95 mixed use vehicles - REL , Rigid , Trailer , Van etc working with a team of mechanics to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to regulatory checks.
• Liaised closely with Health & Safety department to ensure best practice and ongoing training for staff on site and on road. Also worked closely with sales and customer care teams to improve service and allow expansion into new markets.

• As Logistics Manager I was responsible for daily operations of road crews and 4 logistics planners working in the office.
• Rostering , scheduling and planning for a large team of over 200.
• Monthly KPI/bonus reviews with employees.
• Ongoing route reviews to maximise efficiencies and cost per collection , working closely with our data analysts.
• Developed standard operating procedures for office and road staff from use of software internally to truck safety handbooks.
• Resolved customer complaints and identified areas of improvement.
• Logged , processed and managed invoicing and PO's for multiple contractors and suppliers from office supplies and tonnage costs to fuel cards/tankers , tires , mechanical parts and overall fleet maintenance.

• Managed a fleet of 40 foots , curtain-siders , trailers and vans involved in the movement of multiple materials from waste and recycling material to metal and wood.
• Coordinated daily transportation activities including scheduling, routing, tracking and documentation - working directly with drivers, processing plants and port facilities.
• Created reports for General Manager and CEO regarding costs, timelines and performance.
• Ensured smooth material flow to maximise warehouse and processing plant capacity and ensure movement and export targets were met.

• Generated sales and new business opportunities through telesales.
