Summary

With 5.5years of anaesthetic nursing experiencing and 2 years of clinical nursing experience, I am confident in my ability to make a valuable contribution to your team. With experience in specialities including orthopaedics, general, urology, ENT, Paediatric ENT, Pain, Endoscopy, CCL, Vascular and Cardiac, I have solidified my skills in assisting with the delivery of General, Regional, Epidural and Spinal anaesthetics as well as sedation cases.

My role as a registered anaesthetic nurse demanded competent patient assessment and critical thinking skills to develop and contribute to appropriate anaesthetic plans, prioritise patient needs and respond promptly in emergency situations. Combined with my 2 years of clinical anaesthetic nursing experience, I have been provided the opportunity to review and update policies, coordinate anaesthetic rosters, inclusive of both general and cardiac on-call rosters and monitor and adjust stock and supply levels. I have worked closely alongside my NUM, ADON, anaesthetists and colleagues to implement changes of practice according to accreditation guidelines and recommendations as well as ACORN Standards. My ongoing involvement in anaesthetic recruitment and interviewing has allowed me to maintain a more personable approach within my team whilst demonstrating best practice in my direct patient care. My active involvement in both clinical and non-clinical duties has allowed me to perform yearly staff appraisals to receive feedback from the team as well as conduct yearly performance reviews to encourage, promote and ensure the highest standards of practice within the anaesthetic department collectively.
