From leaving school at 15 years old i joined an apprentiship scheme and worked for Topp & Holmes builders Ltd for 18 years. Over time i learnt and developed many skills and attributes.
The company undertook a vast amounts of projects lactated across the United Kingdom raging from :
Commercial developments
Industrial projects
Private residential projects
I had the pleasure of working and running sites on numerous projects on college and university buildings, shopping complexes, housing estates and steel erected units and also a large quantity of residential projects.
I worked continuously in the building trade until 2018 where I wanted to gain more experience and work in a completely different sector so I joined West Yorkshire police as a constable.
I have worked as a patrol officer on two different teams across the Bradford district, West and south. The majority of my daily routine was call handling anything from domestic incidents, burglaries, assaults, missing persons, road traffic collisions and many more.
Earlier this year, due to my proactive approach to policing I was selected to join the District Proactive BOLO team and that is my current job role. Due to my positive mindset and confidence I have a high success rate in making arrests and effectively locating suspects. All of my decision making is set around the National Decision Making method (NDM) which I have found to become second nature to me.
My responsibilities are to self-manage myself and another team member into which suspects we were to be located on a daily basis. I achieved this by working alongside departments such as CID, safeguarding, DCU and the domestic violence units as well as constantly checking police systems for updates.
I made sure communication with team members was always mandatory during a shift and overall risk assessed every suspect to make colleagues safety a priority whilst making arrests.
Overtime I have also learnt to thoroughly access and search police systems to find wanted suspects and any leads to theirwhereabouts. I have also attended a training day where I was advised on methods such as MANHUNTER, I’m aware of how cellular telecoms data can be used to track and locate suspects and I like to utilise this method as much as physically possible.

I am a highly experienced and dedicated bricklayer with 18 years hands on experience in the construction industry, holding a advanced craft qualification in brickwork. Throughout my career as a self-employed tradesman I have developed a strong eye for detail and understanding of building standards. Working independently has strengthened my sense of responsibility, organisation and communication skills. I have regularly worked along side site managers, contracts and clients to ensure high standards of work. My practical experience has given me an extensive understanding of site processes and industry regulations.
Personal I am 39 and feel this is the time to further my career and feel motivated by professional ambition but also personal responsibility. As a husband and father to three young children, I am committed to building a stable and successful future for my family. Outside of work I enjoy following football and spending time with family and friends as well as supporting my children in their sporting activities, which gives me drive to achieve more and set a positive example for them.

I am single with two daughters, 32 and 24, and one grandson aged 3. I am hard working, reliable, punctual and conscientious person and am seeking a role in which I can contribute my existing skills and experience whilst continuing to develop myself. I feel I would be a great asset to your organisation. I spend most of my spare time with my daughters and grandson, I also enjoy reading, music, traveling, fishing, watching football, cricket and boxing
