For the last few months i have been employed by Aqua Metro on the Yan Yean to Bald hill pipeline on the SFPJV site.

My prime roll on this job was working in the Back fill crew.

I would communicate with the truck drivers taking deliveries of Class 2 crushed rock for the back fill, then i would spot for the excavator operator for Above and below ground services then roll the filled trench to compact it, some other jobs and tasks i did was also operatring the posi-track for back fill and site clean up, canusa wrap the welds once tested and assist in laying of the pipe.

- Reading plans.

- Marking out trench lines prior to excavation.

- Setting up temporary fencing.

- Spotting for other operators watching out for underground and above ground services.

- Setting and monitoring trench depths.

- Installing shields.

- Excavator operation 3-13Tonne machines

- Excavation of tenches up to 1.5m deep

- Laying Poly / steel pipe and other general water relocation

- Back filling trenches.

- Compacting with DPU or Jumping jacks

I was the Main boilermaker/ fabricator who was responsible for all Tipper bodies built in this time frame, assembling and MIG welding the tipper bodies, in this time frame i improved the design that was being used by making it quicker to assemble and cutting down labour costs whilst still having a quality and strong final product.

I also have experience in tipper body repairs such as relining / rock sheeting inside the bins by removing the damaged sheets by Oxy-acetylene cutting and fitting and welding new sheets.

In my spare time i also managed all of the companies social media pages, running advertising and finding more customers for the business.

Take delivery of Prime mover trucks, fitted hydraulic oil tanks, extend chassis by 100-325mm to be able to fit a rear cross member for towing, fabricate and weld sub-frame to fit tipper body.

Assemble pressed and pre-cut hardox tipper body kits to suit the Australian Standard also in compliance with Vicroads requirements of roadworthiness.
