· To design gyroid structure which can withstand extreme heat in a simulated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) environment.
· To find the optimum Gyroid structure from the simulation.
· To develop an integrated structure where combined insulation and ablation layer will have higher heat management capability compared to single layer heat shield.
· To get hands on experience with Additive Manufacturing methods and engineering tools (3D printing).
