  • The Manufacturing Team Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role bridges communication between management and production staff, enforces company policies, and works to meet production targets while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the production team to meet production schedules and quality standards – Having 28 Direct reports on Dayshift & a further 14 team members - indirectly on a nightshift.
  • Conduct & coordinate daily staff Meetings. These incoming meetings are to discuss all Safety, Quality & performance information from the previous 12hr Shift, passing on all information needed for the incoming crew.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, coaching and support, and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures which include GMP & HACCAP.
  • Recruit, train and mentor new employees and ensure skill development of team members. Includes developing the training plan for new & current team members to ensure we have the correct skill level to cover production requirements.
  • Conduct shift handovers through written reports, briefings, and daily production meetings, which are completed face to face. These Reports are sent to other department leaders at the conclusion of shift.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to production processes, machinery, or staffing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production data, including output, downtime, and materials usage.
  • Create a Yogurt schedule to produce various yogurt bases & deserts based on the daily production plan. This could be up to 8 – 10 base types at any one time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace regulations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and engineering departments to minimize disruptions and optimize efficiency.
