Years of retail management experience
My retail management career started after I completed my traineeship through school. My mentors at the time could see I had the skills and determination to succeed at the highest level.
I've been with my current employer for 25 years and in that time I've been continually promoted. In this time I've left to have children and come back again. I was Merchandise Manager/ Deputy store manager of apparell at Perth city store in 2011 I had done this role for a while before leaving to have children. The store at the time had around 120 employees and 6 junior managers I worked with to train and develop. I absolutely loved this role and I was working on my next appointment as a store manager but I had my first child in this time.
I've recently gone back 2 years ago and currently employed as a department manager as my hours at the time didn't suit the hours required. I love working within a team environment working alongside them and encouraging to do there best aswell as understanding the pressures at times. I've a strong approach when it comes to merchandising and hold very high standards on presentation of the store and staff. I've alot of experience in how to layout stores, stock control, KPIS, training managers, performance management, recruitment, rosters, loss prevention, building relationships with customers and the team. I'm extremely driven as a person and always find a solution to any problem
