Working for PTM I’ve been placed on a number of jobs throughout the Pilbara. I’ve worked on main road jobs, rail crossings and have been apart of a few ongoing projects throughout the year. This all includes;

• Being partnered with crew members to use stop and slow paddles for multi-directional traffic control.
• Assembled signs and cones to direct traffic through construction sites.
• Routed traffic around construction sites for worker and driver safety.
• Controlled pedestrian movements to prevent intrusion into work zones.
• Updated signage with correct speeds and delay warnings based on daily conditions.
• Maintained a safe work environment for construction crews by implementing appropriate traffic control measures during projects.
• Worked with foreman to create effective temporary traffic control schemes.
• Trained new traffic controllers to properly use traffic control devices and apply best practices.
• Provided timely communication to motorists regarding road closures, detours, or other changes in traffic patterns through electronic message boards and signage placement.

I began traffic control in Sydney, where I was placed different locations around the city for ongoing work projects.

• I understood and followed verbal and written instructions to complete work correctly.
• Worked alongside team to accomplish work goals according to schedule.
• Loaded, unloaded, and moved material to and from storage and production areas.
• Maintained organised and clean work areas at all times on job sites.
• Expanded skill set through continuous learning of new techniques, tools, and equipment related to labour tasks.
