I was responsible for the design management of many large projects, including commercial office high-rises, residential and hotel high-rises, as well as a youth detention centre, defence, and airport expansion projects.

My role was to deal with the client, the consultant design team, design and construct subcontractors, development and building approval agencies, council, and utility authorities. My interactions with project stakeholders extended from project inception to completion.

I developed project and consultant briefs, design management and execution plans, programmed the design development and deliverables, and led the design team and specialist consultants to develop and coordinate design and project outcomes.

I arranged for building approvals, QFES approvals, and Energex approvals at both the design and handover stages, including building certification and the discharge of development conditions.

I was heavily involved in the resolution of construction detailing, prefabrication shop drawings, both off-site and on-site coordination, and daily interaction with the subcontractor's project managers and tradesmen on-site to resolve all kinds of technical and procurement issues, as well as discuss detailing craftsmanship and quality.

Undertook various small and medium-sized projects from inception to completion as the lead architect.

Prepared feasibility designs for the developer, and for Development Approval submissions.

Progressed schematic, and design development to construction documentation.

Obtained building approvals.

Managed the construction phase RFIs, shop drawings, site inspections, and client variation work.

Project Architect on a 54-story residential tower (Skyline Apartments) and represented the superintendent.

Consulted with clients to discuss design options based on their budget constraints or aesthetic preferences.

Preparation of presentations used during client meetings and bid processes.

Conducted site visits to assess potential locations for new buildings.

Coordinated activities between architects, designers, engineers and contractors throughout the duration of a project.
