My departure from the State Manager ATM Services position allowed me the freedom to expand my own personal business of SLR Services while keeping my hand in the security industry. At present, my job description at Prosegur can vary day-to-day to wherever it is needed as I have experience in nearly every level of this company. On certain days I may start by opening the branch working in the operations room and spend the other half of my day on the road with job allocations and/or closing the branch and any combination of the above.

SLR is a business that started with the main objective to supply a service and fulfil a contract with Bendigo Bank to clean and maintain the offsite Automatic Teller Machines on a monthly basis. In my role as State Manager of ATMs I became aware of this need and after one short phone call I was in business sharing the responsibilities with my wife. In due course the business slowed due to economic changes as offsite ATMs were removed. Since then, the business has found a new avenue and morphed into including painting services and general maintenance.

Key Duties

· Ongoing liaison with Bank representatives reporting on machine maintenance and repair

• Cleaning of ATMs
• Liaising with Shopping Centre Management and staff regarding cleaning requirements
• Advising customers of time frames when machines are closed for cleaning
• Stock control of cleaning goods and equipment
• Preparation of invoices
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Painting
• Yard clean up
• Gutter and window cleaning

While still a casual in my early years, I made myself available to learn different aspects of the permanent positions. Due to my keen interest in learning other skills, I was recommended for permanency above other long-standing employees. Once achieving this level, I worked my way up to Operations Supervisor, then onto Assistant State Manager of ATM Services and eventually onto this role of State Manager of ATM Services.

· Conduct subcontractor business audits

· Training of all subcontractors

· Writing and maintaining of all ATM training manuals

· Maintain and audit department equipment

· Undertake weekly toolbox meetings

· Fitting of safe locks

· Programming alarm systems

· Key cutting

· Undertake on-road training and assessing

· Interview and selection of new department and subcontractor employees

· Development and design of new department paperwork

This role included assisting the ATM Manager with the day to day running of the ATM department.

· Monitoring of ATM services

· Liasing with customers

· Rostering

· Assisting with the writing of all ATM Services operating procedures

· Maintain department vehicle fleet

· Manage ATM breakdown recovery team

This role was to assist the operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the operations department.

Having been transferred from Casino Vejle, Munkebjerg, Denmark EU, I was promoted to security manager at Casino Odense, Denmark EU. In this role I was responsible for the complete casino security set up which included
