• Vacation university student, 12-Week program, During my time living in Tieri and working at the Oaky Creek underground mine, I mainly worked within the Health, Safety and training department where I used my medical knowledge to assist in:

Investigating and constructing a report for the Safety an Injury Management officer, based on the physiological and anatomical mechanisms of reported workplace injuries and diseases

• Exploring underground to experience the conditions workers are exposed to, so I could understand firsthand what the possible risk factors are that could impact miners’ health and safety
• Writing up a comprehensive data spreadsheet based on several Annual Exposure monitoring reports dating back from 2017, to thoroughly investigate the legalities and safety parameters of particulate matter and excessive loud noise
• Accompanying the ERZ controller and Ventilation officer underground to alter a broken regulator that was producing an unnecessary amount of air going down one of the mining tunnels.

• During my work experience at Blue River, the team taught me how to use different machinery to dig, move, screen and supply landscape materials for customers

These machines included:

• Caterpillar 988B Wheel Loader
• Caterpillar small Wheel Loader
• Forklift
• Water truck
• Mobile screeners
• Caterpillar Motor Grader (GR04)

• It’s my duty to create a safe passage for vehicles to get into and out of construction sites safely
• I communicate with drivers and other TC’s with the two-way radio to relay information of road conditions and instructions, so traffic may operate without issue or incidents

• Providing exceptional service to assist customers in purchasing practical housing items for optimal home improvement
• I perform well in fast-paced work environments, and I have strengthened my skills in learning and leadership development through meeting and building rapport with customers and my fellow team members - Working in GI (Goods Inwards) to locate, safely section and restock goods throughout the warehouse
• I am very careful with heavy lifting for the safety of myself and my team - Working fast paced on the registers, effectively handling cash and credit purchases - Doing reception work to filter calls into departments, answer customer queries, adjust stock levels and handle banking duties
• Using machinery to move stock around the warehouse.
