NIKKI CUMMINS

Winston Hills,NSW

Summary

Self-motivated, community-driven professional with a strong sense of personal responsibility, seeking to further develop my career in social and community services.

Passionate about social justice, positive change for social impact, delivering holistic, wrap-around support services, and increasing community outreach, am interested in leadership roles where I can make a positive difference and impact people’s lives.

I have many years of diverse experience having worked across three distinct career areas, all of which contribute to my broad skillset and leadership ability. I worked in government and private organisations prior to the not-for-profit sector. My experience has included coordinating social enterprise projects, managing a community crisis drop-in centre and community pantry, leading diverse teams, running a volunteer program, training and mentoring staff, and coordinating social events. I have also managed government investigations and compliance operations, led tours, and coordinated international group travel and sporting tournaments.

I am open to working across a range of social justice areas, working closely with vulnerable communities, combating adversity, and reducing homelessness or other social inequities by challenging and addressing some of the structural drivers of disadvantage.

My strongest skills include conscientious work ethic, advocacy, resourcefulness, empathy, critical thinking, problem solving, strong communication, coordination, and relationship management; and I endeavor to use these skills to help people make positive changes in their own lives
