Proactive and caring Educator with 6 years experience working within a school and childcare environment. I consider myself a kind and supportive professional, passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. With previous experience of 5 years as a Coles employee, exceptional customer service and communication skills are valuable skills I hold. I believe I am a loyal, respectful and hard working individual with a willingness to learn. I am looking to further advance my personal knowledge and professional development within the field of work that (i'm interested in? relates to my studying and interests/hobbies)
Since working as an educator at St Ann’s, I've had involvement in a variety of roles while at the service - prep room leader, kindergarten inclusion support, kindergarten assistant and a responsible person of the service. These opportunities have allowed me to upskill my current knowledge, while gaining experience working in childcare environment.
Recently, I've started casual relief work at Raceview State School. As a teacher aide, I've been assisting weekly at Gala Sports days, helping manage teams and refereeing, and recently attended one of the school camps to provide extra support. I also assist the school as a relief receptionist, performing day-to-day duties, answering calls and directing accordingly and communicating with teachers and parents.
During the 2 years at Raceview, I worked in multiple roles as a teacher aide within the school. This experience allowed me to gain many valuable skills to effectively support student needs and learning, and to promptly manage and problem solve challenging behaviour and situations.
During my employment at Coles, I learnt vital skills in providing quality customer service and the importance of effectively working as a team in a fast-paced environment. I worked in many different departments within the store - customer service, online, deli, grocery/night fill and ticketing and stocktake. This job significantly developed my self-confidence and advance my time management, communication and service skills.
At 19 years old, this was my first experience working in a school environment. I worked with small groups of students delivering literacy and reading lessons. This gave me the skills to support students needs and academic success, as well as efficiently communicating with other colleagues.
I graduated from St Peter Claver College in 2017, with a Certificate 2 in Sport and Recreation and Certificate 3 in Fitness. I worked as a casual at Coles for 5 years, then started my career in Education working as a teacher aide. I started casual work at Kruger State School in 2019 as a teacher aide delivering an literacy intervention program. In 2020 I was then employed at Raceview State School for 2 years. During my time there, I worked a variety of different roles while being at the school; literacy intervention teacher aide, supervising and organising games at lunch times and a behaviour support teacher aide. Since 2022, I have been working at St Ann’s Kindergarten and OSHC as an Child Service Educator, I spent a year working in the Kindergarten room as an assistant, and I now currently work in the OSHC space as a educator and responsible person. I just recently started studying a Certificate IV in Nutrition, with an ambition to become an online coach once I've completed my studies.
