- The opportunity to partake in an Equity Research Competition proved to be a challenge and a new experience I was willing to try.
- The 12-week program mentored by Regan Burrows at Bell Porter Securities involved accomplishing a variety of financial models in excel, based on FactSet data and analytics.
- Under the CFA institute, simulated program, models such as Discounted Cash Flow Models, Earnings multipliers, enterprise value to sales, and price to earnings were our base to provide a buy/sell recommendation
- The recommendation was then presented to the CFO of Austral Gold.
- The program allowed me to grasp the importance of time management, efficient collaboration, consistently monitoring relevant sources, and the inclusion of all group members
- The significance of team synergy during the program was vital, gaining knowledge from other team members and working effectively made the completion of the program fluid and efficient
