Registered Nurse of Medical-Surgical Colorectal Ward for 5+ years, who has capably and regularly managed an extensive list of surgical and non-surgical wounds (including surgical drains like bellovacs, pigtail drains), negative pressure wound therapy devices (like VAC's, Prevena's), and worked alongside/under the guidance of wound care nurses very frequently and cohesively for wounds of various complexities. Has also assisted wound care nurses in complex cases, and often continued wound care treatment for said cases - doing them effectively. Ensured a holistic approach as a nurse to address various factors that improve wound care, like patient pain management, patient education, strong rapport and communication with patient and family, and better patient diet and lifestyle (including enlisting the support of multi-disciplinary teams like dieticians and physiotherapists).

Has strong base with patients with new or old stomas. Well-versed in safe care, management, and education of stomas/stoma patients; regularly caring for them pre-op and post-op, through to discharge. Works regularly with multi-disciplinary team, and hence is very familiar with each department and their protocols, especially the Wound Care Team. Experienced in collaborating with different teams to facilitate patient care and discharge planning.
