§ Assist with managing, coordinating and being accountable for the annual Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Recruitment Campaign to ensure appointments comply with all current legislative requirements whilst meeting strict timeframes.
§ Provide and maintain a highly effective administrative process relevant to the recruitment, appointment and ongoing employment of medical staff including, but not limited to, recruitment and appointment documentation, mandatory pre-employment checks, reporting, medical registration, Medicare Australia requirements, Australian work rights and commencing pay level.
§ Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including the medical board to problem solve any complex medical registration issues, delays, or concerns, ensuring both service delivery needs, and legislative requirements are met.
Provide high level advice and assistance to Divisions and individual medical officers regarding all aspects of § the employment process to ensure clinical practice requirements are appropriately covered.
§ Maintain high level knowledge and understanding of Medical Board, legislative and HR requirements to ensure medical officers are correctly registered for clinical activity within the service and to ensure appointments and entitlements comply with legislation and Queensland Health policy.
§ Monitor ongoing compliance of Medical Board registration requirements to ensure compliance is met.
§ Use appropriate judgement to escalate any potential risks, with solutions on how to rectify in a timely manner.
§ Establish, review, and maintain an effective records system and manage computerised databases to enable auditing of Queensland Health Legislative requirements.
§ Be proactive in problem solving employment and workforce related matters.
§ Provide a broad range of administrative and project related services as directed.
