1. Heat transfer enhancement studies in helically coiled tubes

• Study focussed on passive techniques for heat transfer augmentation in helically coiled tubes.
• Helically coiled tubes have found to have superior heat transfer characteristics compared to straight
  tubes of the same length.
• Numerical studies were conducted to see the effect of Reynolds number, coil diameter, pitch, cross section, twist and type of fluid on the helical coil. The cross sections used were circular, three lobed, four lobed and twisted three lobed sections.
• The numerical scheme was validated with experimental results reported in literature and also with experiments which were conducted in house. Among the cross section considered,the thermal performance factor is maximum for twisted three lobed section.

2. SAE BAJA 2017 & 2018

• Design and fabrication of an all terrain vehicle for participation in the national event SAE Baja.
• Designed and built a single seat, all terrain sporting vehicle to compete in different static and dynamic events.
