As an AIN I have both gained and developed numerous skills, The emergency department I work in has: 14 short stay unit beds, 15 acute beds, 4 resus bays, 3 CDU beds and 5 Fast track rooms aswell as a Paediatric section consisting of 5 rooms. My role is to aid the nurses in these areas by being the best extra pair of hands I could be. The following summarises my job skill set.

• Remained calm during high-stress, critical situations, demonstrating sustained focus and problem-solving in real-time.

• Contributed to overall quality and care of patients by answering calls for help, taking vital signs and monitoring behavior and physical condition for progress or deterioration.
