- I have worked for MCG throughout the school holidays for the last few years, and as a casual full-time worker since leaving school in October 2024.
- I support the testing and analysis of materials by assisting in field sampling, material preparation, and conducting various laboratory tasks.
- Key responsibilities include collecting samples from construction sites or manufacturing locations.
- Preparation of materials by cutting, polishing, grinding, and splitting down samples to meet the required specifications for testing (MRWA & AS Standards).
- I also help with setting up the lab in the morning before the testers arrive, and I help maintain the laboratory's organization and safety standards.
- I am currently learning to operate the testing equipment, recording test results, assisting with basic data entry, and preparing reports under the guidance of a senior technician.
