• Dispensary duties including dispensing paper and electronic prescriptions efficiently and accurately, checking for any prescribing errors or drug interactions, maintaining stock levels and special orders, and following the required medication-related procedures and regulations, for example, those regarding cold chain management and S8 medicines.
• Information provision and prescription and OTC medication counselling.
• Administered Covid19 and Influenza vaccines to adult patients.
• Provision of sick certificates and document certification.
• Training and supervision of pharmacy staff.
• Administer Suboxone and Methadone to clients of the Opioid Substitution Program.
• Responsibilities related to the medication packing service including printing, checking, requests scripts for, initiating and making changes to Webster packs and other dose administration aids.
• Interprofessional collaboration and effective teamwork to ensure optimal patient care such us with GPs, reception staff, carers, nurses, hospital and community pharmacists.
• Use of pharmacy software and programs – Fred dispense, Fred office, safe script, electronic DD book, Webstercare, Project Stop, medadvisor, Minfos, etc.
• Use of point of sale (POS) system including processing sales, cash handling and assisting staff with POS queries and issues.
• Pharmacy opening and closing duties.

Responsibilities as above and additionally:

• Overseeing the supply of eye injections such as Lucentis and Eylea and post-op eye drops to several eye clinics in Adelaide through our 'Inservio' department.
• Overseeing the supply of speciality medicine through 'Inservio' department such as medication for pulmonary arterial hypertension (such speciality medicine is otherwise hard to manage and obtain by patients).
• Responsibilities related to supply of pharmacy products and services via an online pharmacy:

- Processing orders for dispatch of OTC products, S3, and S4 medications.

- Conducting required communication with customers remotely such as obtaining required information and providing medication counselling via phone call.

- Navigating issues that may arise with online pharmacies such as customers ordering large quantities of pharmacy medicines and orders containing interacting medications.

- Ensuring storage and handling precautions are followed from store, throughout dispatch and delivery, to receipt of order.

- Providing an online 'chat with pharmacist' service

• Overseeing the functioning of the packing room facility including supervising pharmacy staff and checking scripts and dose administration aids prepared by dispensary technicians and the intern pharmacist.
• Supplying packed medication (Webster Packs and sachets), and non-packed medications (including inhalers, prn medications, etc) according to drug charts from nursing homes, hospitals, and GP clinics. Responsible for providing medication to residents in 5 nursing homes, CAPP and TCP care, independent care facilities, and to community patients.
• Determining patients that would benefit from medication management services such as HMR and RMMR and referring patients accordingly.
• Attending and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings at nursing homes.
• Maintaining nursing home imprest stock

Similar responsibilities to above roles however under registered pharmacist supervision. In addition:

• Organising, managing and submitting prescription claims and safety net paperwork.
• Organising and coordinating health promotion/screening events and provision of health management services e.g. cardiovascular screening and risk assessment, asthma management, smoking cessation

• Providing high quality customer service - serving customers, taking in and giving out scripts, helping with OTC requests and providing counselling.
• Answering telephones and providing required information or referring to pharmacist when required.
• Supporting pharmacist with day-to-day activities of the pharmacy.
• Stock management - placing orders, packing away orders, checking expiries and doing stocktakes.
• Store presentation and cleaning.
