- Perform modifications and upgrades to electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies as required.

- Provide professional advice for the continuous improvement of repair systems, processes, and procedures.
- Provide cross-training to other members of the FCD and Repair Centre teams to ensure adequate skills coverage across the team. Update and maintain a skills cross-training matrix to visualize this coverage.
- Act as the area warden for secure labs B and C. This includes responsibility for the daily running of the labs, including safety, physical/personnel security, and maintenance of the labs and equipment.
- Utilize configuration and inventory management systems, and assist in the control of the configuration of the Sonar Reference Set (SRS) and test racks at the Rydalmere facility.
- Adhere to the relevant company quality and safety standards, in particular, CI-319 for ESD precautions. Observe good housekeeping, and provide input to JSEAs and risk assessments as required.
- Attend, when required, any interstate locations necessary to meet the support requirements of the Royal Australian Navy. This may sometimes require traveling at short notice and working non-standard hours to meet operational deadlines.
- Perform engineering tasks within the project as required.
