Work History

Volunteer

Ukama
03.2018 - 09.2022
  • Ukama allowed me to explore the inside of disadvantaged communities and give back to the people within by spending time with the younger generation and teaching them skills I learnt from my experiences at school.
  • I came across the organisation through Genine Roberts who is currently changing many peoples lives through the work she does and that was the reason i got involved in teaching local disadvantaged kids to keep them out of trouble in the area.

Volunteer

The Muizenberg Kitchen
01.2019 - 01.2022
  • Volunteer at a startup soup kitchen to feed the homeless and underprivileged.
  • Through this it allowed me to explore how a large kitchen operates and what it takes to feed thousands of people a day.
  • The kitchen helped me explore new ways to interact with customers that don't particularly have the same backgrounds and interests that I do.

Hobbies: Rugby, Rowing, football, gym, gaming.

My interest in sport came from an early age that I started in my school back in South Africa. My dad's interest in the rugby got me hooked to the sport and i've been playing for years, in South Africa rugby is a massive sport and through this i created alot of new relationships with many people, rugby had also shown me the importance of determination, leadership and teamwork. When i reached high-school i took up rowing and started lifting in the gym which i still do today, these have highly benefited me not only physically but hugely on my mental side as these sports are very mentally challenging. This has driven my belief in giving up is simply not an option. My interest in gaming has been around since i was pretty young and it honestly just helps me switch off from any stresses i have and to chill with the mates from wherever i am.
