My work history is one that I am very proud of and have reached great heights of success within my field. I have been a Senior Manager and Sales Executive within the hospitality and events industry for many years and am lucky enough to say I am as passionate as I have ever been for all things functions, sales and events.
I have worked for large scale companies such as The Australian venue co . Heading up the reservations team with over 180 venues across all states and managing a sales team of over 20 remotely
I have created centralised selling systems for such companies as the Melbourne venue company and Open-door pub co. many years ago when individual venues would only rely on functions managers. I was able to develop a selling machine across multi venues which again I was instrumental in successful financial gain for the company and my team.
I have been a part owner of a winery on the Mornington Peninsula, Barmah Park Winery and took on all sales, events and marketing, being a part owner of a smaller business was much more hands on and again really fulfilling as there was more room for creativity.
I also have a strong business understanding of hospitality and events as I have worked in many venue manager positions in my younger years. Having a strong fundamental knowledge of all financial and operation requirements within business gives you a natural ability to better sell all products to best possible financial gain of the business.
I was most recently at Alba Thermal springs just as a reservation agent part time whilst I moved down to the peninsula to re locate. It was really great to take a more junior role whilst I settle my life back into place and was honestly really refreshing to just go back to what essentially is what I love doing which is selling, executing events and fostering new relationship.
However, it was always going to be short term until I had the capacity to go back to full time work which I did and took on the Managing Sales Executive role for Hudsons Famous catering. The position was based around the redevelopment of the brand into Olive Lane Catering, I have only been with them a few months however I don’t believe the business model is probably at the standard I wish to continue with. It quite a few years of being an established business and with the amount of travel required I have decided to look elsewhere.
Your position stood out to me essential because I know I could be really successful in this role but also really happy, I want to again work down on the peninsula, do what I love which is selling events and fostering new business, with an established company I know will execute on delivery day.
I personally am still hospitality through and through and always willing to jump in and help operationally when required. Iv never been afraid of hard work and love to lead by example.
I will include my references for your perusal, however being I am currently still employed with Olive Lane I have not included this. I do only require a weeks’ notice period for immediate start.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss the role in more detail.
