As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, my role is to provide essential support to the orthodontist in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. I assist in a variety of clinical tasks, including preparing and sterilizing instruments, ensuring the treatment area is clean and organized, and assisting the orthodontist during procedures such as the placement of braces, adjustments, and other orthodontic appliances. I also help with taking dental impressions and X-rays, ensuring that all diagnostic records are accurate and up to date.
Beyond clinical duties, I play a key role in patient care, ensuring that patients are comfortable, informed, and at ease during their appointments. This includes explaining treatment processes, providing aftercare instructions, and addressing any questions or concerns. I also manage patient records, schedule appointments, and assist with coordinating treatment plans and progress updates. My role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of orthodontic procedures and equipment. Ultimately, I strive to contribute to a positive patient experience and assist the orthodontist in achieving the best possible outcomes for each patient’s orthodontic journey.

Assisting During Procedures: Supporting the OHT/Orthodontist during exams and procedures, handing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
Training staff: Trained new employees on denial management best practices, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient workforce.
Admin rolls: Answered phone calls and organizing and managing patient appointments to ensure efficient workflow in the office.
Ordering: Did stock takes of products and equipment, ordered through varies company's online and though email.
