· Providing and developing care plans for both children and NDIS clients who have high care needs e.g. Peg feeds, complex bowel, ventilation, palliative care, SPC & IDC, wound care and cough assist.
· Training support staff on high cares needs; the training course was designed in house by myself to educate support staff when looking after clients in their homes.

· Within Prince of Wales I was mainly working within acute, fast track and the short stay ward, as I was a casual employee.
· Within these area’s I completed a A-G assessment, clinical observations, obtained bloods in order for the Doctors to carry out their further assessment.
· Within these different areas there were also several admission waiting on beds in the hospital. This involved you following up with different teams in order to continue patient care appropriately.
· Within Emergency you also worked alongside a multidisciplinary team including physio, occupational therapist, drug and alcohol to ensure patient’s safety when mobilising and before discharge.

· Provide competent nursing care to a variety of adult patients presenting with various critical and life-threatening illnesses including cardiac arrests, diabetic ketoacidosis, SEPSIS, alcohol and drug intoxications, seizures, anaphylaxis, exacerbation of COPD
· Provide critical care to patients involved in major trauma incidents liaising with Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services.
· Manage situations when we have to activate major haemorrhage protocol, management of the ventilated or deteriorating patient.

· Delegate tasks with the appropriate manner within the team. There are several tools used within A&E for a holistic assessment of a patient, which include ABCDE/GCS/AGED/AVPU assessments.
For many years now, I have been an active member of my local GAA club. Taking part in sport has allowed me to work as a team player and member and allowed me to be motivated and encouraged by others. Throughout my years of playing sport it has benefited me, as my communication and leadership skills have been improved significantly. Through sports I have met many new people and it keeps me disciplined within my everyday life.
