I am highly personable with a passion for adventure and the outdoors, developed in my two years overseas in Canada.
A temporary project before travelling to Australia. I worked internally, improving efficiency and complying with security regulations concerning client records. I lead this project and was required to oversee and manage my teams performance. This required excellent administration ability due to the scale of the project and organisation of my team.
My interest in the environment stemmed from my time working in Whistler, Canada. I was fortunate enough to be able to work full time as a Zip- line/hiking/Aerial obstacle guide. I was able to educate and entertain guests whilst being surrounded by breath-taking scenery. This role also required absolute precision and intense personal responsibility of my guests safety. The mix of guest interaction alongside strict safety procedure complimented my social, yet organised, skillset perfectly.
I joined KPMG as a Trainee accountant as part of the audit team. I successfully completed the first year of exams of the 3 year program. After this time I decided accountancy was not a career that I wanted to pursue and changed direction completing a degree in a different subject. This role portrayed my determination and ability to learn in a fast paced environment. I also became very comfortable around financial statements and developed my strategic mindset.
