  • I work with the Principal and executive to supervise and manage the SASS team and Administration office
  • My responsibilities include the delegation of tasks, manage workflow and quality of work
  • I source relevant training opportunities and courses to support career goals aligned to their role statements and to upskill the team with the most recent training material
  • I have incorporated the key elements from the Excellence in Administration Framework into Staff Development Days whilst linking these essentials to individual Professional Development Plans
  • Working as part of a team, I endeavour to ensure there are staff members to support each of the roles and tasks in case of absences in order to maintain workflow and stepping in to assist in any tasks outstanding
  • In collaboration with the Principal and Executive, I coordinate the school’s financial affairs with reporting on budget expenditure and account management

  • I endeavour to seek best practice and better processes whilst remaining compliant with the various Departmental policies
  • For example, there was a need to develop a process to check the Probity requirements for External Providers entering the School site to visit students in the classroom
  • Gaining insight from a neighbouring School colleague and following the Screening Catalogue on the portal, whilst adhering to the guidelines, I developed a check list to ensure we were compliant in collecting and storing the paperwork required by Probity Unit for outside providers
  • This resulted in a streamlined process with approval by the Parents, insurances and probity checks for contractors, Deputy Principal and Principal endorsement
  • My well-developed written communication skills were of great value when producing these documents and checks lists that are clearly understood by the parents and contractors

  • In the role of Business Manager at Kellyville High School my responsibilities were for the efficient management of the school’s business functions, including administration, asset /project management, procurement, finance, workplace health and safety, mandatory training and community engagement
  • Working collaboratively with the Principal, I utilised my well-developed oral and written communication skills on a daily basis
  • In the role of Chairperson for the WHS committee, I worked collaboratively with WHS representative from DoE to ensure the school is compliant with policy regulations in accordance with the elements of reporting and mandatory updates in ICE
  • Maintaining and updating the relevant documents for the Director, for example, the Emergency Management plan, first aid plan and evacuation procedures
  • I acted on any reported hazards and accidents promptly following the Health & Safety guidelines with accurate written communications whilst working with the GA for any immediate emergencies
  • I have maintained the workers compensation paperwork for staff on leave, sending the accident forms, associated receipts and claims to the case managers and filed them in the relevant staff file for audit

  • Liaised with the Asset Management Unit representative for scheduled works including planned maintenance and funding submissions whilst being the point of contact for many delivered projects
  • For example: carpet and painting throughout the various blocks in the school
  • I was required to liaise with the carpet and contractors coming to site through Asset Management, coordinate with the GA during the school holiday period, ensure the staff were notified before the end of Term to remove items from the classroom walls and floors and to coordinate with the Teachers if any students were attending the site for holiday groups on site
  • I arranged alarm codes, access keys and gate access to enable the contractors to complete their works
  • This resulted in the smooth completion of works with minimal interruptions to the students and staff
  • Project Manage the various projects in the school – for example: auditorium seating, oval upgrade, office refit, ensure checklists and WHS documents are uploaded in AMS on the Web

  • Under the LMBR Reform, I was employed as one of the local deployment officers for the Hills/Hawkesbury networks
  • I was one of two deployment officers to deliver training to twenty seven schools
  • This required me to learn the new systems and then deliver face to face training daily to SASS staff, Principals, and executives
  • Post Go Live support was offered for a period of three months, that included phone and online advice
  • I regularly visited various school sites to deliver further training to thirteen Hills / Hawkesbury schools
  • For example – successfully deployed the new systems on time for the transition and I was personally responsible for the first satellite school to go live for the Group 3 schools
  • The School did not have a SAM and had a new Principal, so I completed the post go live tasks for them so they could successfully transition to the new systems
  • Reporting to the LMBR Principal Lead with end of day training feedback, assessment of training outcomes by participants, identifying training needs with participants and providing feedback to the Principals
  • I also monitored the pre ‘Go live’ tasks in readiness for the new systems
  • As part of the SRC (SASS reference group) I delivered workshops and further training and mentoring to Principals, Administration Managers and Administration Officers that involved preparation of training material and program writing
